American Heritage Railways (AHR) is proud to announce a new and exciting project that takes our knowledge of the railroad business south of the border with the introduction of the "Jose Cuervo Express." Jose Cuervo, which is known world-wide as a distiller and distributor
of tequila, has entered into a technical
assistance agreement with AHR to assist them
in operating a passenger excursion train from
the city of Guadalajara, Mexico to the pueblo of
Tequila, Mexico. |

So you may ask what's in Tequila, Mexico and why should I take a train there? The answer is obvious when you arrive in a truly beautiful Mexican community set in the shadow of an ancient volcano. The picturesque pueblo is complete with cobblestone streets and historical architecture that has been beautifully preserved. If that's not reason enough, you will enjoy traveling through the beauty of a 60,000-acre blue agave plantation. In Tequila, you will be treated to a tour of the Jose Cuervo facilities which will give you a true appreciation of the history and culture that is Jose Cuervo.
What's New at American Heritage Railways?To begin your experience you will be greeted by onboard staff whose primary concern is your comfort. You will depart Guadalajara on board train cars that have recently been renovated to provide you with the utmost in luxurious accommodations.
