The City Of Twin Lakes sits on two Glacier Lakes as the highway runs parallel to and fro Independence Pass. The highway runs through town (Be sure to slow down to 35MPH). As you enter, there are numerous bed and breakfasts, lodges and camping sites. From Leadville take hwy 285 south and turn right on 82. You'll see numerous spots to pull over and enjoy fishing, camping and hiking.
