Ed Asner Starring as FDR, May 16, At the Concert Hall at FLC. Though widely known for his seven-time, Emmy-winning role as Lou Grant on "The Mary Tyler Moore Show," Ed Asner is garnering high praise for his performance in the one-man drama, "FDR," based upon Dore Schary's Broadway hit "Sunrise at Campobello." Asner, as FDR, takes the audience through the iconic president's WhiteHouse years including the Great Depression, the steps leading up to World War II and the war years.
