Gateway is connected via jeep and mountain bike trails to Fruita, CO and Moab, UT. There is also easy access to the Uncompaghre and Manti-LaSal National Forests.

The Hanging Flume
Clinging to the Wingate Sandstone cliffs 100-150 ft. above the Dolores River Canyon is a 7-mile wooden flume, built between 1889-1890 to operate mining equipment.
