Centennial Concert Series June 12 - July 3, 2012
Sunday evenings beginning at 6:00 pm, Centennial Park 300 West 5th Street, Rifle CO, Free. Join us to begin a new summer tradition for Rifle, Colorado, as the City of Rifle and Rifle Visitor Improvement Fund present Centennial Concert Series 2011! A variety of bands will be playing throughout the series including Wendy Woo on June 12, The Filthy Rich Band on June 19, Ivory Drive on June 26 and ending the series with a 'bang' on July 3 with special performance by Earthbeat, followed by the Lindsey O'Brien Band and ending the night with Rifle's own firework display! We welcome the community to enjoy this free event. Kick up your heels to the variety of music, explore local tastes from vendors in the park, and feast your eyes on the art showcases every week!

The Fair Opens Up Wednesday August 3rd with the Kids Rodeo & Mutton Bustin' and our Barn Dance featuring 19 year old Billboard recording artist Armiger.
- Thursday night we will feature the Mutton Bustin' Finals and the PBR Rodeo which is an event for anyone who likes high tempo action and some rough ridin". These bull riders are from all over the country and are the best of the Best. Check out their website www.pbrnow.com
- Friday night we offer some high flying stunts and acrobatics with the Mobile FMX motorcycle stunt team. It is like nothing you have ever seen before!
- And lastly Saturday night is the ever popular Demolition Derby. Lots and smashes and crashes to appease the motorhead in all of us.
- Of course we will showcase our 4H Livestock shows and Saturday's Sale as well as our Open class artisans, horticulturists and kids projects too.
- New elements to this year, we will have local, regional and national live music and entertainment from our "Backstage" Thursday & Friday from 3-7pm and Saturday from 12-7pm.
- In addition we have added the Vendor Village open to all crafters and merchants. Garfield County Merchants are encouraged to have a booths and sell their wares. There will also be a section for Colorado hand crafters also.
- Kids will enjoy our carnival as well as the music and entertainment all day long.
Pathway to Fishing September 2, 2012
Rifle Visitors Center - Lions Pond. Come join the Rifle recreation department in conjunction with the Division of Wildlife, Rifle Falls Hatchery, Colorado Sportsman Wildlife and Colorado State Parks and Bureau of Land Management for this exciting event. Ages 6-12 years will learn basics of knot tying, casting, about fish ecology and other interesting facts. Al participants receive free tackle box, tackle and casting pole.
