Snowmass Recreation Center This 18,000 sq. foot indoor facility includes a cardio and weight room, gymnasium, aerobics room, climbing wall and a bouldering cave. Outdoors, visitors will find 4
heated pools, tennis courts, a basketball court, 2 sand volleyball courts, and a new 10,000 sq. foot concrete skate park.

9th Annual Chili Pepper & Brew Fest. June 8-9, Snowmass, The International Chili Society holds its two chili competitions and tastings in Snowmass, while microbrewers face off in a prestigious summer ale competition with two brew sampling sessions for festival-goers, featuring 70 plus breweries.
Western Wednesdays Weekly Rodeo, Every Wednesday, June 13 to August 15, Snowmass Village Rodeo Grounds, Celebrating its 39th season, the Snowmass Rodeo is the oldest continuously running community rodeo in Colorado. Authentic western fun for the whole family includes cowboys and cowgirls showing their daring skills in bull riding, team roping, barrel racing and bronco riding. Lil' buckaroos can compete in the calf scramble and in mutton bustin'. Shop for western merchandise while the kids explore the petting zoo, take a pony ride and ride the mechanical bull. Enjoy the best ribs and BBQ chicken in the West provided by Aspen's famous Hickory House. Full bar also available. Enjoy a campfire cowboy sing-along and marshmallow roast complete a perfect Colorado evening.
Elk Camp Gondola and Chairlift Rides at Snowmass, June 16 - September 5, Offered daily, you - and your bike - can ride the Elk Camp Gondola to mid-mountain reaching nearly 10,000 feet and enjoy miles of hiking and mountain biking trails, ACES nature walks, disc golf, climbing wall, fishing and special programs offered for adults.
Jazz Aspen Snowmass June Festival, June 22 - July 7, Snowmass Village
Free Thursday Night Concerts. Snowmass Village, June 28 to August 16, Snowmass, This very popular free concert series draws crowds by the thousands to a comfortable outdoor venue with a spectacular mountain backdrop. Bring a blanket or low lawn chair and a picnic basket of finger foods for the ultimate al fresco experience. Beer and wine are available for purchase at inexpensive prices; grilled foods are also offered. A Family Fun Zone entertains kids with anything from a bouncy house to face painting, juggling and more. A memorable evening for all whether you want to chill or dance up a storm all night.
Snowmass Half and Half Charity Run, June 30, One of the most beautiful courses in Colorado! Half path/half alpine mountain trail. Loop course starts/finishes near Base Village, Snowmass. Follow scenic Brush and Owl Creek paths as well as the Tom Blake Trail (single tract alpine mountain trail with shallow stream crossing). There are steep climbs and sharp descents at altitude, but runners/walkers will be rewarded with spectacular views from far above the Town of Snowmass. USATF certified. Free ¼ mile kid's fun run as well. Proceeds to benefit Aspen Homeless Shelter and Hospice of the Valley.

Snowmass Culinary and Arts Fest, August 3-5, The Snowmass Culinary & Arts Festival brings foodies, wine connoisseurs, and art lovers alike together in a premiere visual and delectable feast. It features celebrity chefs, a juried art exhibit with regionally and nationally recognized artists, food & presentation expert panels, and a Palette of Pairings featuring specialty foods with wines & spirits, all set in the scenic mountain splendor of Snowmass Village, Colorado. Aspen/ Snowmass Women's Pro Stage Race, Aug 23, Aspen, a cycling mecca in the Rocky Mountains, is proudly hosting the only professional cycling event for women during the much-hyped, all-male USA Pro Cycling Challenge which rolls through Aspen on August 24, 2011. Not content to just watch the race from the sidelines, two-time national champion and Aspen resident Jessica Phillips decided to create an event just for the ladies.

37th Annual Snowmass Hot Air Balloon Festival, Setember 14-16, The Snowmass Balloon Festival fills the sky with one of the highest-altitude balloon events in the country. Over three days, 30 pilots compete in such challenging competitions as Dawn Quixote and a distance race that covers the whole Roaring Fork Valley. Highlights include Saturday Evening Glow, barbecue, and free concert where brightly colored balloons light up the night sky and twinkle on and off like colorful stars
