Attractions
Winter Park Resort The longest alpine slide in Colorado serpentines down the slopes of Winter Park. A labyrinth of fun awaits at the human maze. Mountainside Mini Golf features historic aspects of the Fraser Valley at all 18 holes.
Take in spectacular views of the Continental Divide as you ride the Zephyr Express Chairlift to the top of the mountain. Hike or bike the resort's vast trail system or enjoy lunch at the Lodge at Sunspot, a true mountaintop oasis.
600 Miles of Fun! It's no wonder the area is referred to as "Mountain Bike Capital USA." Some 600 miles of hiking and biking trails spread across the valley through peaceful meadows, past rushing streams and up rugged mountainsides.
Most of the trails take advantage of the area's bounty of public lands, including the Arapaho National Forest, Rocky Mountain National Park and BLM lands. 52 miles of single and double-track trails are part of Winter Park Resort's extensive trail system - much of it accessible by chairlift.
High Country Stampede Rodeo Come "set a spell" for this great western tradition every Saturday night in July and August at the John Work Arena outside Fraser. Bull riding, calf roping, barrel racing and bronco riding are real crowd pleasers. The evening begins with a western-style barbecue at 5:30 pm. Rodeo begins at 7:30 pm. Call (800) 979-0334 for more information.
