This town turns upside down to pay tribute to the gold rush, exploration and adventure, brothels and saloons, booms and busts.

Independence Day Celebration July 2-4, 2012
Celebrate Independence Day with lively entertainment, free activities and dynamic family fun. The festivities kick off with a 10K trail run and continues with the Firecracker 50 bike race, the vibrant 4th of July Parade, July Arts Festival, live music, kids' activities and more. End the night with the National Repertory Orchestra performing a patriotic concert at the Riverwalk Center with an extraordinary fireworks display to follow.

The 29th Annual Breckenridge July Art Festival is annually ranked one of the top art shows in the United States. In 2009 this show was ranked 18th in the nation by the Art Fair Sourcebook. This high quality festival will offer a wide range of art mediums such as painting, metal, wood, glass, ceramics, sculpture, photography and jewelry just to name a few. Breck Bike Week July 6-10, 2012
Cyclists unite each July for the free Breck Bike Week, showcasing the destination's diverse cycling community with demos, guided group rides, nutrition, fitness and open space lectures; children's races, Tour de France viewing parties and more.

The 7th Annual Breckenridge Beer Festival July 21, 2012
The attendance at this festival has grown every year with a sold out crowd in 2009 and 2010! This beer sampling event with live music draws a wide range of people from beer aficionados to families. Hosted by Main Street Station, which combines downtown Breckenridge with a beautiful lakeside view in celebration of Brews and Views!

10th Annual Breckenridge Main Street Art Festival July 27-29, 2012
A favorite among visitors and artists, the works of over 100 artists from around the country will be showcased. This is one of three Mountain Art Festivals in Breckenridge.

Summer Music at the Riverwalk Center June-August 2012
An award-winning performing arts facility, the Riverwalk Center is the western anchor of the Breckenridge Arts District and is home to both the Breckenridge Music Festival Orchestra and the National Repertory Orchestra. Expect classical, non-classical and ensemble performances throughout summer.
