Vail Snow Daze 2011, December 5-11, Winter doesn't start until we say it does. Kick - off the ski season with an action-packed week at Vail Snow Daze - the biggest early season party in North America. This year's events include an all-mountain photo competition, Dummy Demolition Derby under the lights, and three larger-than-life concerts in Vail Village. Winter Teva Mountain Games, Feb 9, 2012 to Feb 12, 2012, "Imitation is the most sincere form of flattery" certainly rings true in the case of the enormously successful Teva Mountain Games in Vail as the Vail Valley Foundation announced plans for a new Winter Teva Mountain Games presented by Eddie Bauer event to be held February 9-12, 2012. The announcement was made at the Outdoor Retailer Show in Salt Lake City.

Teva Mountain Games, May 31 - June 3. Art on the Rockies, July 14-15, Now in its 2nd year, the Art on the Rockies Festival was voted the best festival in the Vail Daily readers poll in 2011. It is growing into a premiere, destination arts festival, known for the quality of art and first class treatment of both its artists and its guests. With Vail's Rocky Mountain backdrop and glorious summer weather to compliment the event, the festival attracts more than 5000 seasonal and year round residents and tourists. The festival showcases 100 fine artists from around the country, a music stage and food court area. Children's Art Discovery Tent offers art activities for children.

Vail Lacrosse Shootout, June 30 - July 8. At Ford Park, Vail Athletic Field, Donovan Park, Nottingham Park in Avon, and Freedom Park in Edwards from approx. 8:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M.
The Vail Lacrosse Shootout Tournament is by most accounts, the most prestigious annual Club Lacrosse tournament in the world. This year promises to be one of the top lacrosse tournaments of 2011. Past years have seen the United States national team and the Canadian national team enter the tournament (1994). In 1993, the Canadian East and West invitational squads competed in the tournament, and held a quiet intersquad game on the last day of the tournament to help determine the final roster for the 1994 Canadian national team. The English national team competed in Vail in 1992, and for the last 10 years, the top teams from the United States Club Lacrosse Association have brought teams to the Vail Lacrosse Shootout Tournament. In 1995 16 of the 24 1994 U.S. National team players competed in the tournament for different teams..www.vaillacrosse.com
Vail America Days, July 4, This wonderful red, white and blue celebration begins at 10am with a homespun parade starting at Golden Peak and traveling through Vail Village to Lionshead, entertainment in Vail Village and Lionshead from 12-3pm, and a patriotic concert at 2pm at the Ford Amphitheater. For the grand finale, don't miss the fabulous fireworks at Golden Peak at approximately 9:45pm.
