Vail Winter Events - Bundle Up and Get Down
Holidays in Vail
Sponsored by the Town of Vail, this year's Holidays in Vail celebration has been widely expanded to include many new and exciting events that begin right after Thanksgiving and run through New Year's.
Vail Village kicks off the festivities Nov. 28 with a Christmas tree lighting at Slifer Plaza accompanied by a children's parade, music and entertainment. Events conclude with a tree lighting in Lionshead.
From Nov. 28 through Dec. 18, the Vail Chamber is coordinating Savor the Season, a new dining event featuring 32 restaurants and bars offering special holiday promotions and themed cocktails at attractive prices.
New this year, the Holiday Fair spans two weekends and offers unique gifts along with free entertainment and children's
activities.

The Vail Chamber and the Vail Rec District are teaming up to present Santa's Workshop each Wednesday in Dec. from 3-6pm. The four free workshops include children's visits with Santa and photo, holiday snacks and hot chocolate, arts and crafts, decorationmaking and free gift wrapping sponsored by the Vail Chamber & Business Association for all gifts purchased in Vail.

Torchlight Ski Down and Fireworks at Golden Peak at 6:15pm. Free public event. VAIL SNOW DAZE
Vail's Snow Daze, held December 7-13, 2009 is the largest early-season bash the mountains have to offer nationwide. Now in its fourth year, the weeklong festival celebrates the start of the winter ski and snowboard season in Vail and includes a weeklong schedule of contests, parties, giveaways, on-mountain events and the headliner concerts. Concerts will be free to the public and held at outdoor venues in Vail.

Wednesday evenings beginning in January signal the opportunity for Vail Valley residents and guests to enjoy free music in the streets of Vail as the Vail Valley Foundation presents the 11th season of the popular Bud Light Street Beat free concert series. The series culminates with the Volvo Grand Prize given away at the final concert in April 2010. Concerts are held at Checkpoint Charlie, Solaris, The Arrabelle or Golden Peak; please check the location weekly. Bud Light Street Beat is a project of the Vail Valley Foundation.

Spring Back to Vail
Spring Back to Vail, the country's No. 1 springtime party in the mountains returns April 12-18. Vail will be alive and kicking with two free concerts in Vail Village, an EPIC Lounge with thousands of free giveaways, on-mountain events such as the wild and wacky World Pond Skimming Championships. Spring Back to Vail is a non-stop party that combines music, on-mountain events and in-town parties.
Vail Film FestiVal
The 7th Annual Vail Film Festival takes place April 1-4 in Vail, Colorado, and has been named "One of the Top 10 Destination Film Festivals in the World" by MovieMaker magazine. The Festival features groundbreaking films from all over the world, filmmaker panels, parties, and live music featuring musicians from L.A.'s acclaimed Hotel Cafe. The Festival draws some of Hollywood's hottest stars, and filmmakers from across the country and around the world. Past celebs include Kevin Smith, Michelle Monaghan, Luke Wilson, Adrian Grenier, Olivia Wilde, Sophia Bush, Harold Ramis, Jessie Eisenberg and more. The Festival prides itself on being open, friendly and very accessible, allowing attendee to meet and socialize with established Hollywood producers, actors and directors.
The program includes features, documentaries, short films, student films, adventure films, animated films, family films, social and environmental activism films, and an Oscar Shorts showcase. 20th Annual Taste of Vail

In its 20th year, the Taste of Vail is the nation's premier spring food and wine festival, held at several venues throughout North America's No. 1 ski resort. During the annual fourday event, upwards of 5,000 people are able to "taste the Vail Valley lifestyle" which showcases Vail's world-famous resort village set against dramatic mountain vistas.
