Estes Park- Watch the Glow Holiday Celebration and Parade, Downtown Estes Park, Nov. 25, Estes Park celebrates the beginning of the holiday season. Beginning at noon children will be able to visit with Santa and enjoy hay rides and pony rides. Whimsical characters and festive carolers will entertain throughout the downtown area. At dusk, floats from the Catch the Glow Parade will feature thousands of tiny twinkling lights, storybook figures, angels, snowmen, marching bands, entertainers, wildlife characters and of course, Santa ends the parade!

Grand County- Winter Sports Carnival, Jan. 1-Feb 11, 2012
The festival marks the 100th anniversary of the first winter carnival in the western U.S. The six-week-long celebration, presented by the Grand County Historical Association, will encompass all aspects of historical and modern winter sports. Events range from ski jumping and skijoring to a snowshoe tournament and snow ball throughout the area.

For the second year in a row, the CMC is proud to host the Winter Wildlands Alliance's Backcountry Film Festival at several locations around Colorado. The seventh annual world tour of the festival highlights the beauty and fun of the winter backcountry experience. Submissions come from re`nowned filmmakers who travel every corner of the globe to submit their best backcountry work, and from grassroots filmmakers who take a video camera out on their weekend excursions and submit their best film short. The films are juried by a select panel of judges and the top films are assembled into a 90 minute program.

Steamboat - 13th Musicfest at Steamboat, January 5-10, 2012 - Steamboat Ski Area--the ONLY festival that brings the finest Texas and Americana music to the snow swept Colorado Rockies for a full week of sport and song. Eighteen bands will perform over the six days in the heart of the Rocky Mountains featuring free après-ski concerts, evening concerts and special engagements throughout the week including over 40 live performances, from an increasingly diverse line up of artists with styles ranging from country to rock, blues to bluegrass, folk and western swing, and everything in between. Vail- 22nd Annual Taste of Vail, April 5- 7, 2012, In its 22nd year, the Taste of Vail is the nation's premier spring food and wine festival, held at several venues throughout North America's favorite ski resort. During the annual three-day event, upwards of 5,000 people are able to "taste the Vail Valley lifestyle" which showcases Vail's world-famous resort village set against dramatic mountain vistas.

Beaver Creek - Vintage Ski Fest, April 7, A celebration of ski history, racing and tradition returns to Beaver Creek with the third annual Vintage Ski Fest and Race. So dust off the ol' skis and sign up to celebrate the final weekend of the 2011-2012 ski and snowboard season. The event is a throwback to the 1940s featuring a lineup of competitions on the Haymeadow Race Course complete with canvas competitor bibs, hand-painted banners, natural bamboo gates, an old fashioned scoreboard and more. Steamboat- 32nd Cardboard Classic, April 14, 2012 from 10am to 12:30pm - Steamboat Ski Area, The Cardboard Classic, Steamboat's traditional rite of spring celebrating over three decades of fun, features homemade crafts constructed only from cardboard, glue, string, water based paint, duct tape and masking tape racing down the face of Headwall to a hysterical finish. The uniqueness and creativity of the race make it an event looked forward to every year.

Leadville/Ski Cooper - The Titanic - A Night to Remember April 14-15, Head to Leadville for a special weekend commemorating the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic and Leadville's own "Unsinkable" Molly Brown.
