Opening Day at Snowmass November 23, 2011

Winter Skol, January 12 - 15, 2012, Aspen/Snowmass, Wintersköl features more than 40 events in downtown Aspen and at all four ski areas: Snowmass, Aspen Mountain, Aspen Highlands and Buttermilk.

The Aspen Snowmass Open, February 9 - 12, 2012, Buttermilk, The Aspen/Snowmass Ski & Snowboard Open at Buttermilk, February 9-12, 2012, is one of the best open competitions in the nation! It attracts over 350 athletes to compete on the famed X Games slopestyle and superpipe courses.

Bud Light Big Air Fridays, February 10, 17, and 24; March 2, 9, 16, 23, and 30., Fanny Hill at Snowmass Mountain, The always entertaining Friday afternoon show is entering its 10th year at Snowmass. Big Air Fridays attracts competitors from near and far (including the occasional vacationer) to show off what they've been practicing all week. Athletes will showcase the newest and most progressive tricks around off of the 40 foot jump on upper Fanny Hill.

Colorado Freeride Championships, February 24 - 26, 2012, Snowmass, the Colorado Freeride Championships (CFC) is a big mountain competition featuring both men and women skiers and snowboarders. Some of the biggest names in the industry come out to play on the cliff-littered terrain of Snowmass, creating a wild show for spectators.

Power of Four Ski Mountaineering Race, March 03, 2012, Snowmass Village, Grab a teammate and experience the Power of Four in this inaugural ski mountaineering race through Snowmass, Buttermilk, Aspen Highlands and Aspen Mountain!

Terrain Park Boot Camp, March 17 - 18, March 24-25, 2012, The Terrain Park Boot Camp is an entry level terrain park that will be set up at Snowmass. Coaches will teach beginners how to safely slide a rail, hit a box and throw a trick.

Skiers and riders can access all four mountains using 100% automated gates - a total of 40 gates
at all access points on the mountains. All lift tickets have been replaced with a plastic card containing
an RF (radio frequency) chip that detects when guests move through the gates. Automated gates with
the latest technology means guests spend less time in lift lines and more time skiing and riding! With
hands-free gates you can put your pass in your pocket and never take it out again.
