We have exhibits about our area's historic and prehistoric residents.  Be sure to visit the authentic Navajo Hogan in our Dance Plaza and enjoy the murals on our historic building's exterior.

Hawkins Preserve
122 acres of Southwestern landscape here in Cortez maintaine by the Cortez Cultural Center.  Donated by Mr. Jack Hawkins, this land reflects over 2,000 years of human occupation and protects plants and animal habitats.  Trails and a paved walkway provide access to this wonderful resource and it is maintained by our volunteers.
