- Cheyenne Mountain State Park: Located near Colorado Springs, this park has two camper-style cabins with panoramic views of the city and surrounding mountains. The fall foliage here contrasts beautifully with the red rock formations.
- Golden Gate Canyon State Park: Located just outside of Denver, this park offers a variety of cabins, yurts, and a four-bedroom guest house. You can also access beautiful hiking trails through aspen groves. The fall foliage here usually peaks from mid-September to early October.
- Mancos State Park: This lesser-known park in the southwestern part of the state offers yurts with stunning views of the fall foliage reflected in the water. The park is surrounded by the San Juan National Forest, providing ample opportunities for outdoor activities.
- Mueller State Park: Situated near Divide, CO., This State Park offers three cozy cabins with bathrooms, kitchens, porches, fireplaces, and living space. - Navajo State Park: Enjoy extensive aquatic activities and stay in one of three beautiful cabins, each with two bedrooms and furnished with modern appliances, showers, and restrooms. The cabins, located in Navajo’s oldest campground, overlook the reservoir.
- Ridgeway State Park: Nestled in the San Juan Mountains, Ridgeway State Park features yurts with views of the surrounding peaks and the reservoir. The park is known for its wildlife and is an excellent spot for fall photography.
- State Forest State Park: This park, often called the “moose Viewing Capital of Colorado,” offers six cabins—two of which are more oversized lodge-style and accommodate up to 20 people—access to 71,000 acres of mountainous terrain, a chance to see moose amid the fall foliage, and ample hiking and wildlife spotting opportunities.
- Sylvan Lake State Park: Tucked away in the White River National Forest, this park offers eight small and one large cabins nestled among the trees near a serene mountain lake. The park’s aspen groves create a picturesque setting during the fall months.
- Steamboat Lake State Park: Situated alongside Steamboat Lake and surrounded by dramatic mountain peaks. Trails within the park extend into Routt National Forest and offer spectacular views of aspen tree fall foliage. Camper-style cabins are available.
- Vega State Park: Has five camper-style cabins nestled on the slopes of the Grand Mesa and surrounded by lush vegetation. Access the canyons, cliffs, and mountains from these cabins.
