Hula is Life! Understanding Hawai'i through Dance and Music

"Hula is Life!  Understanding Hawai’i through Dance and Music" will be presented from 1-3 pm Saturday, Jan. 12, at the Global Village Museum of Arts and Cultures.  Professional hula dancer Kristen Schickler will perform while her brother, Harry Williams, plays the ukulele.  After their performance, Kristin will discuss the history of hula, and Harry will explain his craft of handmade ukuleles.  Admission is $5/person and includes entry into the Museum’s four galleries.  The program is in conjunction with the Museum’s Main Gallery exhibit, "Living Aloha:  Hawai’i’s Enduring Legacy."  For more information, visit globalvillagemuseum.org or call 970-221-4600.
