There are breweries for every letter in the alphabet here in Colorado – and we’re fairly certain by pointing that out we’ll prompt a start-up somewhere in our fair state. Because we have dozens of small-to-big breweries and brew pubs, you’ll never be far from a pale ale or stout regardless of where your Centennial State travels take you. A few more notable establishments are Brew Pub and Kitchen in Durango, CooperSmith’s Pub and Brewery and Billiards in Fort Collins, Lefthand Brewery in Longmont, Aspen Brewing Co. in Aspen, Horsefly Brewery in Montrose, Phantom Canyon Brewing in Colorado Springs and Walnut Brewery in Boulder. And as for distilleries, it’s spiritual. Woods High Mountain Distillery in Salida makes and bottles small batch-spirits; Distillery 291 in Colorado Springs gets high marks from its reviewers; Peach Street Distillers in Palisade makes peach vodka. As your very good luck would have it, there are distilleries in just about every part of the state.
