Near to the hearts and homes of generations of Colorado skiers and riders, Loveland is Colorado’s true winter wonderland. Just 53 miles west of Denver, Loveland is Denver's closest and snowiest ski area.  Loveland boasts 1,800 acres of remarkable terrain, FREE snowcat skiing, an innovative lesson program and more snow then any Front Range or Summit County resort. Loveland is home for those that simply want to ski or ride. 

Loveland Ski Area has been Denver’s local mountain for over 75 years.  Just 53 miles west of Denver on I-70, Loveland offers a classic ski experience you won’t find at anywhere else.  Situated high atop the Continental Divide, Loveland receives an average of 422” of snow each season, more than any resort in the Front Range or Summit County.

Loveland has two base areas, Loveland Valley and Loveland Basin.  Both areas host a rental shop, sport shop, cafeterias, bars and offer free parking.

Loveland Valley caters to beginners with gentle, un-crowded slopes perfect for those new to the sport.  It’s here that your love for skiing or riding will blossom with the help of our friendly, professional instructors.  The Loveland Ski & Ride School has affordable programs for all ages and abilities and will help you learn, laugh and have a great time!

Loveland Basin offers terrain for every level of skier and rider.  Steeps, trees, cruisers, open bowls and everything in-between await your exploration at Loveland Basin.  The Ridge, located on The Continental Divide, offers intermediate and expert level skiers and riders terrain just the way they like it – open, steep and deep.  With 300 acres to choose from right off the lift and 100 more hikeable acres for the true adventurer, The Ridge offers an experience like no other.  Loveland also offers FREE snocat skiing along the Continental Divide.  The Ridge Cat offers access to some of Loveland's most exhilirating terrain which was previously only accessible after a 30 minute hike.
