Bald eagles, American white pelicans, and peregrine falcons are also in the area. Hunting is permitted in certain areas of the park during the season. 4,000 acres of land surround the reservoir, and visitors can hike or bike nearly five miles of scenic trails in the Coyote Ridge/ Backcountry area.
