Breck Epic
The Breck Epic is a 6-day mountain bike race held in and around the backcountry surrounding Breckenridge. Each stage begins and ends in town, allowing racers to stay in one place for the entire event. The race is 220-240 miles long and features roughly 40,000 feet of vertical gain (and loss). The Epic is composed of 6 BIG backcountry loops (3 loops for the 3-day Epic-curious events), each between 35 and 50 miles long. The race has been described as a rad vibe with a mid-90s mayhem feel.
The Triple Bypass
Epic recreational cycling event from Evergreen to Vail, Colorado – 110 miles over 3 mountain passes. You, your bike, and 110 miles on some of the most gorgeous roads in the country. Enjoy as the race reaches a conclusion in Vail.
Wild Horse Gravel Bicycle Ride
Back for 2021, Wild Horse Gravel showcases the unique high desertscape of the Western Slope. Hosted on the luxury High Lonesome Ranch, riders will be treated to a country cook-out, campfire, cabins, camping – or glamping – and the best local music. In short, there will be a Colorado country party to accompany the ride.In addition to being hidden well, well off the beaten path, The High Lonesome Ranch and its surrounding area isn’t open to riding year-round, so participants benefit from exclusive access to this secret stash of wild-west gravel. You’ll only be disappointed if you were hoping for a bunch of auto traffic on the route. We have two routes to choose from, and riders can decide which one on the day – even mid-ride. Feeling strong when you get back to the ranch? Then turn and head back out for another lap. Feeling like 45 miles is plenty? Then rest your legs at the ranch. Totally your call.
There are two timed segments that you can take as seriously or as frivolously as you like — the name of the game is doing a big gravel ride with friends new and old. Even those that hammer away at maximum speed will stop to regroup, taking in the views and the delicious local goodies at the well-stocked feed station. As with all Roll Massif Sportives, you’re going to want to bring your camera.
Tour of the Moon
Want to take an epic trek through the Colorado National Monument? Check out Tour of the Moon and tackle a metric century ride or opt for a 41-mile loop back into Grand Junction. This ride is one of the most important fundraising events benefitting Bicycle Colorado. The event sells out every year so don’t miss it.
Tour de Vineyards
Head to Palisade this fall and enjoy the vineyards, orchards and mesas of Colorado’s Western Slope at the 26th annual Tour de Vineyards. Take the leisurely 23-mile route along the Palisade Fruit & Wine Byway, or opt for the 58-mile loop up and over Reeder Mesa.
Sunrise to Sunset – Winter Park
Race the sun and gear up for the Sunrise to Sunset trail race in Winter Park, Colorado this summer. The 12-hour event is all about balancing camaraderie and challenge. Ride the singletrack course as a relay or race solo.
Crooked Gravel Bicycle Ride
High-altitude views abound in every direction. Crisp mountain air exhilarates the senses. And swarms of riders fire each other up. And that’s before the ride even starts! Both the 65- and 93-mile routes get right down to business, taking riders from downtown Winter Park onto remote gravel roads and up into the mountains.Crooked Gravel takes a few cues from an exploratory event the legendary Ron Kiefel put together a decade ago called Crooked Roubaix. Back before gravel bikes were really a thing, Kiefel and some friends set out on a 93-mile dirt-road adventure from Winter Park up into the high mountains on road bikes.
