Arranging the trip is the Museum’s Global Adventures club, designed for those who love to travel, want to recount their travel experiences, delight in sharing stories of travel, and/or dream of traveling one day. The Scandinavian Midsummer Festival welcomes over 80 artisans, organizations, and performers to share their culture and traditions through food, crafts, demonstrations, and entertainment. Participants will enjoy the raising of – and dancing around – the Midsummer Pole, the Scandinavian Market, the Fjellborg Vikings in their living history encampment, storytelling and games with Leif the Viking, making crafts such as flower crowns, and the Scandinavian Classic Car Show by the Rocky Mountain Volvo Group. Transportation tickets are $80 per person, and registration and signed waiver are required by 5 pm Friday, June 7, at globalvillagemuseum.org.
