Walk with Compassion Colorado Springs, in alliance with Dream Centers of Colorado Springs
September 23, 2017126 Cimino Dr., Colorado Springs, CO
Walk With Compassion is the family-friendly walk to end child poverty. Leading up to the walk, Colorado Springs participants are fundraising for the most urgent needs of children living in extreme poverty. On September 23, they will come together at America the Beautiful Park to celebrate the difference their efforts have made. Participants will journey through a true story of hope and redemption, HEARING about and SEEING real-life obstacles children in poverty face everyday. The afternoon will be abundant with food and drinks, music, activities, bounce houses, performances, and a concert from popular Christian music band Citizen Way at 1pm!
Participants will also battle poverty locally! At the end of the walk, a check representing 10% of the dollars raised will be given to Dream Centers of Colorado Springs to help end generational poverty and family homelessness in the Pikes Peak Region!
Compassion International is a child-advocacy ministry that pairs compassionate people with those who are suffering from poverty. The ministry releases children from spiritual, economic, social, and physical poverty. The goal is for each child to become a responsible and fulfilled adult. Compassion’s model is Christ centered, child focused, and church based. To find out how to participate, or to support a walk team or individual, visit WalkWithCompassion.com/ColoradoSprings.
