This tour of the collection focuses on items that come from department stores in Colorado and have Colorado connections. The Clothing & Textile Collection at History is composed of items that either hail from Colorado or are connected to Coloradoans and span almost two hundred years of fashion history.This event is free for members. Join the membership team and the Trinidad History Museum in-person for another History Buff Day! Use your free membership to discover and learn
about Trinidad, Colorado. Hang with Billy the History Buff, explore TWO historic homes, wander the gardens, and enjoy family fun activities! Do you have a Colorado fourth grader who isn’t a History Buff member yet? Inquire about a free 4th grade membership. No RSVP required. Smithsonian Free Museum Day

As a proud Smithsonian affiliate, we are excited to participate in the free Museum Day on Sept. 17.  Museum Day is a one-day event in which participating museums and cultural institutions across the country provide free entry to anyone presenting a Museum Day ticket.  Participants are allowed to download one ticket per email address. The ticket provides free general admission on Saturday, September 17, 2022, for two people.

Museum Basics: Basics of Curation

This class will cover the basics of curation, including writing collection plans & policies, donor relations & acquisitions, and ethical and legal considerations.
• With an Annual Pass, you get one class free by signing up for the entire year of Museum Basics all at once.
• The Student Annual Pass is the annual pass for students enrolled full time at a college or university.
• The Institutional Pass allows for three or more individuals from a single organization to attend all 2023 classes.
